about
"No Other Place" is the follow-up to Marrón's debut album, etc. Marrón says of "No Other Place," "[This track] speaks of the search for home. About crossing barriers to find each other, seizing the moment and not letting it slip away. It is about reaching somewhere to belong that is not physical but inside of us."

Produced by Marrón and José Luis Pardo, aka "Cheo", from Los Amigos Invisibles. Marrón explains, "With this track, I was trying to get closer to my roots. Cheo and I both live in NY, and we understand the nostalgia of our people reflected in the music we listen to. While working with him, I was able to explore new sounds, percussion textures, and acoustic rhythms with his longtime collaborator Neil Ochoa. All this without forgetting the electronic beats and synthesizers that have become part of the identity of the project. At the end, we created a space of our own, and I'm very proud of the result."
On their latest LP, the Austin group peel away the synth and distortion to highlight the jangly melodies at the core of their songs. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 9, 2022
